About Food Story Natural Market

Located at 605 Pavonia Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306, Food Story Natural Market operates as an asian grocery store serving Jersey City in New Jersey. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 6 amโ€“11 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Food Story Natural Market at (908) 275-0490; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Its Google rating stands at 2.4 out of 5 from 190 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Jersey City is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Jersey City peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

So I just literally landed from Japan vacation & I'm still dealing with the Japan "hang over" & jet lagged & craving for MOCHI early this morning. THANK GOODNESS Food Story has MOCHI from JAPAN! Next week I will buy the TAMAGOPAN from Food Story because of course that's what I've been eating in Tokyo & thank god they also sell Tamagopan at Food Story. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK offering Japanese products! I know they're not cheap but I don't care :)

After being loyal customers despite your overpriced items, weโ€™re done. The cashierโ€™s (specifically the Indian girl) attitude is consistently rude and unprofessional, with no basic customer service skills like greeting customers or saying thank you. It makes the entire experience unpleasant. We will not be coming back.

Iโ€™ve visited this store three different times because itโ€™s close by, and while the sandwiches are actually pretty good, unfortunately the rest of the experience has been disappointing. Each time I purchased the same sandwich, the price was different, which made the pricing feel inconsistent and confusing. More concerning, I noticed several items on the shelves that appeared to be expired or spoiled. When I mentioned this to the staff, the response was dismissive and it didnโ€™t seem like anyone took the concern seriously. Customer service overall needs improvement. The atmosphere in the store feels more focused on surveillance than customer service. There are cameras everywhere, and at checkout it often feels like the focus is more on watching the monitors than helping customers. Itโ€™s unfortunate because the store itself looks modern and has potential, and the sandwiches are good, but the basics consistent pricing, fresh products, and attentive customer service are not being met. Based on my experiences, I wonโ€™t be returning.

Great variety of products and grocery. As expected, some things were pricey but other things seemed on point for market value. They have hot and cold food bar, coffee bar, serve wine and beer and a good variety of Asian and other groceries. Definitely would recommend this market if you're in the area.

Perfect for a quick pickโ€ผ๏ธ this has everything, starting with the vegetables, fruits like bananaโ€™s, strawberries, muskmelon, watermelon, apples, grapes, oranges, pine apples, the honey, coffee, tea, water bottles, cool drinks, ice creams , kitchen ware items, all kinds of meats ๐Ÿฅฉ, alcohol, fruit juices, eggs, all the sanitary items, washroom essentials, milk, frozen foods you name them, they have them. Not just the packed foods but they they have a bakery with ๐Ÿ• pizza, sushi noodles, and a lot of other breakfast and quick lunch items, this made my life easy, i just have one of these 10 dollar items and leave to the path. It is quick and completely comfortable. The entry is just after the journal squared entry and just before the steps of the path. โ€ผ๏ธ i am attaching the menu of the bakery items. โ˜ฎ๏ธ
